But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles...Isaiah 40:31

The words they flow like rain, the thoughts like tears...
Life is hard, life is so very hard.
Like walking on shells at the beach,
The surf is so beautiful but the shells hurt my tender feet.
I walk through this life absorbing the beauty,
The shells of life scar and mar,
but my soul is unblemished.
It flies...

  1. What a photo--lovely. Didn't get out much last week to visit, but wanted to catch up today. Congrats on your lemonade award--I am certain it's the first of many:>)Wishing a happy week for you and yours.

  2. Thank you so much, guys. You all know how difficult it is to post our own poems. A little nerve racking. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement :) Exams Monday and Tuesday then I'm free. Or as free as a working mom can be...

  3. Wow, the beautiful picture speaks a thousand words. And as I reflect on the bible verse, it brings with it depth and strength and I remember the remainder of that verse is about waiting. So hard to do sometimes.
Your poem, what an amazing analogy! You have such a gift! Your work is awesome! It is salt of the earth stuff! WOW! It's deep. It's heart felt. It brings life home to our hearts.

  4. Hey Good luck on your exams this week! Jenny, if we make the honor roll, we'll be like peas and carrots (more Forrest Gump one-liners). By the way, go to http://morethansewso.com It's a blogspot that has an amazing view on Laminin and how we are put together. You will enjoy it since you are a nurse. The title is Our God is Amazing.
